Is not glass, and it shines with a very glossy finish, it is Epoxy Resin, one of the most valued materials in contemporary art.
Each artwork is signed on its side and at the back and it has a unique reference number, making each painting unique.
Take a look at some of the swimmers’ swimsuits, as they are made with recycled fabrics that I source locally from a clothing repair atelier near where I have my studio.
I paint on wood artboards which I can source at any size from 15x15cm (5.9×5.9 in) up to 140x120cm (55.1 x47.2 in). For bigger sizes, I create diptychs and triptychs. Every artwork will arrive at you, ready to hang. Every painting is a one-of-kind authentic original work and includes an authenticity certificate.
Delivering artworks in mint conditions to 100 cities worldwide has been the perfect training to understand how each painting needs to be protected for the journey to your doorstep. I use corrugated carton boards, air bubble wrap and customised wood crates.

Hi, I am Rubén and I have always admired people who aspire to be triathletes.
Years ago I decided that having a comfortable life was not enough and that my goal was to become one of those people that I admire so much, people who, like you, believe that anything is possible and that a dream with a plan becomes a real goal.
After finishing my first full Ironman I decided to change my comfortable job in a corporate company for a life full of art and new experiences.
Now I am living from my passion, connecting with hundreds of people and creating art to tell stories full of achievements and victories, with a brush.
After nearly 5 years of this beatifull project called RubenAbstract, Swimmers has arrived to 100 cities in over 34 contries, mainly in Europe, United States and Asia.
Even though epoxy resin bring brightness to my artworks, the real beauty and heart in all of them are the stories behind them.
